PAST RALLIES
SPRING RALLY 2009-ANZA BORREGO
Our Spring Rally was held Mar.29-Apr.1 at the Springs of Borrego RV Park in Borrego Springs, located within the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Hosted by Dom and Marie Dublino of Sun City , CA. and Mike and Madeleine Yaki of Surprise, AZ, 29 rigs participated. The rally began with a delicious barbecued turkey dinner. After dinner a presentation by local residents, Marsha and Wayne Boring was given on fossils and bicycle routes in Anza Borrego. The next morning after a breakfast of biscuits and gravy, Trekkers, led by The Dublinos and Wayne Vandergriff and Jana Caughron went hiking to the Palm Canyon Oasis. Martin Knedel organized a golf outing for another group, and others just lolled around the pool and the mineral spas. A spaghetti dinner that evening was followed by an informative Trek Tech session moderated by Al Yeast and Lorne Muth. . After Tuesday morning's breakfast of banana waffles, Trekkers participated in a second hike to a slot canyon or a 4 wheel drive trip put together by Win Tweedie. Our rally ended with a pot luck dinner and the finishing of the ice cream from the 2 previous nights of ice cream sundaes. With perfect weather a great time was had by all!!

QUARTZSITE RALLY 2009
Ou r5th "No Host - No cost" Quartzsite rally was held January 16th to 19th, 2009. This year we had 45 Treks attend this event. Quartzsite is the home of the world's largest RV Swap Meet.
Some of our members volunteered to go early and stake out a Trek area in the desert south of I-10 and west of Love's Truck Stop. This is the same area we have always used. There were campfires at night and as usual a great potluck dinner on Sat. A big thanks to Mike Bronzini and Brazel's RV for providing wine for their seminar on Friday evening. This year we had great weather which was appreciated by all who attended.
FALL RALLY - SEDONA, AZ
OCT. 5 TH – 8 TH , 2008
Our Fall Rally was held Oct 5 th – 8 th at Rancho Sedona RV Park. The weather for this rally was “picture perfect” for the 32 rigs in attendance. Mike & Madeleine Yaki of Surprise, AZ were incredible hosts and delighted us all with wonderful meals including a “Roasted Pig” dinner and their now famous “Banana Waffle” breakfast.
A “Salsa Challenge” that had 14 entries and was judged by all in attendance was held the first day of the rally. Cathy Haight of Albuquerque, NM was declared the winner.
Monday morning many of the group were thrilled by Sedona's Pink Jeep “Broken Arrow Tour” and others enjoyed a great hike led by Earl Goodwin in the afternoon. Tuesday morning Dave Minsberg of Las Vegas lead a Trek Tech discussion that was very informative. In the afternoon we held a Trek Open House and it was fun to see some of the inovative things we Trekkers have done to our "homes on wheels".
All in all, it was a wonderful three days capped off on Tuesday evening by a “Frito Pie” dinner and then music and song provided by one of our newest members, Barry Erlich of Shell Beach, CA . Guitarist, Dan Germain of Tombstone, AZ provided music for our campfires.
FALL RALLY - HERON LAKE STATE PARK
Sept 14 - 17, 2007
Our Fall Rally was held Sept 14 -17, 2007 at Heron Lake State Park. This State Park is located about 20 miles s/o Chama, New Mexico.
24 rigs attended this event and all had a great time. Bob and Sue Horning of Tesuque, New Mexico were our hosts and everyone very much appreciated all of their efforts to make this a successful rally. Bob did a great job of putting on a slide presentation for us of the geology of New Mexico and he took some of the group on a hike of the area. Sue, along with the help of Jim and Janet Finch put on a traditional New Mexico Breakfast Burrito feast one morning that was just fantastic!!
On Sunday, a majority of the group went into Chama and spent the day riding the Cumbres & Toltec scenic railroad. It was a great day with lots of beautiful scenery.
We always seem to have at least a few new Trekkers at our rallys and we all had fun sharing our experiences with the "newbies" and welcoming them to our Trekking community.
